There are a number of requirements that all members of the Mars Hockey board, team managers and coaches must complete in order to participate each season.

Please make sure to save all receipts for expenses incurred out of pocket so you can get reimbursed. Scan your receipts and send a copy to me along with your mailing address and I will pass them along to the treasurer.
A new USA Hockey number is required each season. If you are a member of the board or a team manager, sign up as a "Volunteer" then you will not be required to pay anything.

CLICK HERE to see what requirements are needed specifically for the state of Pennsylvania. You should complete these requirements before you begin the USA Hockey screening process because they will ask you for these documents. These screenings should be good for FIVE years.
PLEASE NOTE: One of the requirements is an FBI background/fingerprinting check. If you have lived in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the last 10 consecutive years or longer, you can be waived from this requirement. Simply fill out the affidavit below, have it notarized. New, starting in the 2020-21 season, USA Hockey will be processing all new background screenings. An approved screening will be good for TWO seasons. For example, if you are approved in August 2020, the screening will be good for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 season.
Note that once you begin the USA Hockey background screening process there is a question that asks specifically if you are volunteering/coaching in the state of PA. Not sure why it can't just determine that from your address but make sure that you check that box. Also, after you register, you will receive an email from the screening company asking you to upload the PA required documents listed in the step above, so make sure you complete those first.

All board members, team managers and coaches are required to do this training. Once you take the full course, you must do a refresher course every year.
