Pat Roach - Defenseman - #70

  1. What are your plans after high school? If going to college, what college (if you know) and what do you want to study there? Will you be playing hockey anywhere after HS?

    Pat: I hope to play junior hockey after high school and play ice hockey for a college team in the future.
     
  2. What is your favorite school subject?

    Pat: Math.
     
  3. Who is/was your favorite teacher (could be any teacher, all the way back to grade school even) at Mars and why?

    Pat: Mr. Goodworth is probably my favorite teacher. He is always asking me how hockey is going and is always setting a good example for everyone around him.
     
  4. What person (other than your parents, you can talk about your parents in a later question) has had the greatest influence on you and why?

    Pat: My grandmother has had the greatest influence on my life. She reminds me every day to be thankful for the life that I have been given. She is the kindest person I will ever know in life.
     
  5. What is your favorite memory of your Mars Hockey career?

    Pat: Freshman year when we played a varsity game against Deer Lakes at Ice Connection. They filled the rink and it was so loud that it was hard to even think straight on the ice.
     
  6. Who is the funniest player on the team this season?

    Pat: I’d have to say Hulbert is the biggest clown. But the combination of kids that we have on the team this year are really entertaining in general.
     
  7. What is/was your best memory of high school?

    Pat: My personal finance class junior year. I made one of my best friends during that class.
     
  8. What kind of music do you like to listen to?

    Pat: I like all music. In the car I like to listen to rap or classic rock.
     
  9. What is your favorite movie?

    Pat: The Notebook or Allied.
     
  10. What is your favorite book?

    Pat: The Five People You Meet in Heaven.
     
  11. What is your favorite food?

    Pat: My mom’s fried steak.
     
  12. How many siblings do you have?

    Pat: Three: Jim, Sean, and Domenique
     
  13. How many pets do you have and what type?

    Pat: Two cats named Bumper and Brownie
     
  14. If you had the chance to have dinner with one person from history (living or dead) who would it be and why?

    Pat: My grandfather. I was only six when he passed away and I don’t have a lot of memories of him.
     
  15. What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment so far?

    Pat: Making the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite team this year. I worked towards it for a very long time.

  16. If your life was made into a movie, what actor would you want to play you?

    Pat: Liam Neeson.
     
  17. What is one thing you cannot live without?

    Pat: My siblings. They set the bar high for me from the very beginning.
     
  18. Do you have any hidden talents?

    Pat: I can catch small foods in my mouth if someone throws them to me.
     
  19. What is the best vacation you ever took?

    Pat: Every year the guys in our family take a fishing trip to Canada. It’s an indescribable experience.
     
  20. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

    Pat: Making investments and trying to start a family
