The Mars Hockey Club is accepting resumes for Junior Varsity head and assistant coaching positions for the 2022-23 season and beyond.  We are seeking individuals who will work diligently to develop our players hockey skills and knowledge of the game, promote good sportsmanship and team development of our student athletes both on and off the ice. 

Mars Hockey Club participates in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League (PIHL).  All USA Hockey background clearances, certifications, and PA clearances are required.

Junior Varsity

The Mars Hockey Club is seeking qualified candidates for Junior Varsity head and assistant coaching for the 2022-23 season and beyond.We are seeking qualified and motivated individuals that possess strong leadership, communication skills and experience in developing players hockey skills and knowledge while promoting teamwork and sportsmanship for our student athletes.

Primary duties include preparing for and leading practice, developing game plans and coaching the players during games and ensuring a safe environment on and off the ice. Expected weekly commitment typically includes two practices and one game. Season practices commence in early August and end in March. Games typically start in September and conclude in March. skates are also typically scheduled two times per month from May to July.

Mars Varsity, Junior Varsity and Middle School teams practice and play home games at Baierl Ice Complex in Warrendale, PA. The organization’s practice ice times currently are Mondays (5:30 – 6:50 PM, shared ice), Tuesdays (8:20 – 9:30 PM, shared ice) and Wednesdays (9:40 – 10:40 PM, Varsity full ice).

The coaching positions are salaried based upon experience. Mars Hockey Club participates in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League (PIHL).All USA Hockey background clearances, certifications, and PA clearances are required.
